Hey Everyone!

This is a blog sharing with my friends what I've been recently watching, including highlights and my comments on it.

Sometimes, if I'm in the mood I'll add translations. They're mainly for my sister who doesn't know any Japanese yet loves Arashi and Japanese television. But feel free to use them for your comprehension (^_^) Spread the Arashi and Japanese love!! <3 ~~ o(~▽~*o)(o*~▽~)o

I will warn you, however. I am a HUGE Arashi fan and so most of what I watch is Arashi related. I try my best to never miss an Himitsu no Arashi-chan episode.

Please come to enjoy Japanese television with me!! <3

Heading off to Japan and need to free up some money (and room) for buying new goods when I'm there.

I'm selling from Canada so shipping will be cheaper for those from North America. International buyers are, of course, welcomed. Prices are listed in yen for simplicity's sake, and do NOT include shipping.

Aiba Masaki Hospitalized

On June 29, it was learned that member of popular group Arashi, Aiba Masaki was hospitalized late Tuesday for pneumothorax (collapsed left lung). This is the second time this has happened since he was hospitalized  for five days in 2002 for the same condition. According to an affiliate of Johnny's Jimusho, Aiba suddenly developed pains in his chest during the filming of NTV's Arashi ni Shiyagare on June 28. Once the filming finished he was immediately rushed to the hospital emergency ward and hospitalized. On June 29, he was diagnosed with left pneumothorax. He is expected to be hospitalized for one week after which he will go home to recuperate.

When Daily Sports and others originally reported this online, the articles were erased soon afterwards so I hoped that maybe it was just a rumour but Daily Sports has put up the article again so it seems it's true.

Awww... I hope he gets better.  It's so like Aiba to keep on going even when he feels like crap just because he likes to be with Arashi. It reminds me of this interview with Arashi [Warning: You will cry after reading this!!]

Don't push yourself too hard, Aiba! And get better soon!
I've been faithful in watching each week's episodes of Himitsu no Arashi-chan, Arashi ni Shiyagare and VS Arashi but I've been lazy in posting them up here. SRY :P

This week's episode of Arashi ni Shiyagare was visited by Kawashima and Uchida. They are representatives for Japan on the national Samurai Blue team but they also play on European teams. Kawashima Eiji-san plays for a Belgian team and Uchida-san plays for a German team.

Sho-kun is EPIC!! (for once)Collapse )
Watched this week's episode of Arashi ni Shiyagare with Korokke and some other guy who I don't know and am too lazy to go back to the start of the show and find out again.

You can find the link the MQ version of the show here.

It was an amusing with lots of cute moments. Poor Sho-kun, though, kept getting handed the ones that weren't particularly funny... Poor guy did them well but they weren't funny to begin with so it felt like he failed.

Ohno-kun did surprisingly well during this episode. He was probably the best at the monomane (impersonations).

The show pub corner at the end, though, was sadly not very funny. Cute but not really a "I'm gonna rewatch this a million times!!" moment.

I'm kind of afraid for next week. It's another of those Dandy-ism corners where they make up problems they have and get weird solutions in return...

This is why I love Arashi...

I was reading this article translated to English by clovert . It's a magazine article probably published in 2007 around the time of Kiiroi Namida's release (hence the theme "Tears").

You can read the article here at her blog.

Personally, reading this article I was so moved. This is why I love Arashi. They're so accepting and supportive of each other. They're such an odd mix of talents and personalities and yet, in any other group, they may not have found their true potential.

MatsuJun has such a cool persona and at first glance you'd peg him as being in a group like KAT-TUN. Yet he's an emotional guy with a unique sense of style and a heart for the fans.  Would he have felt comfortable showing those sides in any other group but Arashi?

Sho-kun is known as the "smart" one with his roles as MC Read more...Collapse )

Tonight I watched the 2011.05.14 episode of Arashi ni Shiyagare. The guest was Kawagoe Tatsuya (), a famous Italian food chef.

It was definitely a delicious episode with lots of food, and you get to learn a bit more about food. I'll definitely watch this again for the pasta recipe.

Episode highlights:

-Sho-kun calls MatsuJun a Bambina and gets sooooo close to the answer
-Aiba has an encounter with an Artichoke and makes everyone wonder how he's the son of a Chinese restaurant owner
-No 'hey' for Nino; challenges Natto
-Ohno and Nino have no interest in Aiba's story
-MatsuJun makes the other members (and the audience) jealous

You can find the episode here. You'll have to skip to at least 9:04 as the first bit is all CMs for other shows.

Next week's episode looks like it's gonna be really ROCKIN'!
This week's VS Arashi is HILARIOUS!! Full of funny happenings and the end is absolutely the most best part. I have rewatched it three times already. I don't want to give away why as it will give away who wins but I love him!! His reaction to the others is hilarious!

The pair for this week's episode of Himitsu no Arashi-chan was Aiba and MatsuJun. This time they started off with a new Corner, 大人はできて当然SHOW (Otona wa Touzen Dekite SHOW = Obvious that adults will get it SHOW). Basically, they pick a task or question that a group of adults would, of course, get. For example, they asked a group of guys in the middle of a date at Shinjuku which type of hat was a "Panama Hat" and 83% got it right. Then they ask this same question to one of the guests or Arashi and see if they can get this "obvious" question.

2011.05.07 Arashi ni Shiyagare

Watched 2011.05.07's episode of Arashi ni Shiyagare. The guest was Sasaki Kuronousuke. It was definitely amusing this time. Lots of cute/funny moments. I especially liked the cute Sho and Aiba moments. :)

The video is posted on this blog here.

I'm so hungry from watching this...Collapse )

嵐 Troublemaker PV

Just felt like watching the Arashi Troublemaker PV today. It's so fun and funny, especially the Making Of where you see all the little hidden bits (Watch Nino and Ohno on the "train") and see some of the stories behind the shots (like Sho-kun's Swan).

Nino is a TroublemakerCollapse )
